Bacon Wrapped Tenderloin

1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup cooking sherry
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. ginger
1-2 lbs. venison back straps
1 lb. bacon
Preparation: Stir together soy sauce, cooking sherry, garlic powder, onion powder and ginger in a bowl with a sealable lid. Place back straps in solution and allow to marinate in refrigerator for at least one hour. (Back straps can be cut into 1/2" steaks--cutting against the grain--if you prefer more marinate flavor to meat or marinate whole for less extreme flavor.) Cut into 1/2" thick steaks, cutting against the grain making round, disc shaped steaks. Wrap strip of bacon around each steak, securing bacon with toothpick, and grill until meat is cooked to desired doneness. Serve on a bed of wild rice.
